The control of tripping the trigger represents the key to obtain good results in the polygon and when hunting. What I have intended here to explain is the fact that any hasten of the trigger, no matter how is done (sudden pull, downward, from the lateral, only on the tip of the trigger or on the top of it, or after tripping, the sudden release etc), damages the result we obtain when shooting at target. There is no equilibrium relation between the hastening of the trigger and a very good grouping at target shooting. What both the athlete shooters and the hunters need and want is a better control of the trigger, and the ability to tripp progressively the fire so that they shoot precisely what they want, without surprises and without being surprised by the result (positive or negative). A good control of the trigger is the result of a continuous “teamwork” – a correlation between the trigger, the finger that pulls the trigger, eye and brain. To be more explicit, it would mean the following: while the finger that pulls the trigger exerts a certain pressure on the trigger, this pressure is sent progressively to the brain that requests information from the eyes which are in close connection with the shoot and hit machines; when the eye aligned with the shoot and hit machines, in the vital point, sends to the brain the information that the shooting is done, the brain sends the “the tripping order” to the finger which pulls the trigger so that the blow would hit where we wanted to.

The hart in comparison with other game species from Europe has a pretty fragile physique. It doesn't have a hard bone structure or a powerful musculature. Even the skin doesn't put such a big resistance to the projectile. Besides the cartridges projected for other species, bigger, some time ago have been projected even special cartridges for hart, for example, 5,6x50 R Magnum or 6x70 R.

The hart offers only a small shooting surface, that's why the ammunition used for hart must be precise. Ideal would be a precise projectile, with a wide area of shooting, that will distort under control and stop the game instantly, but without causing any great damages.
The following report analyzes the data gathered in Germany, on some hundreds (around 800) hunted harts and contains the typical calibers for the hart - 5,6; 6; 6,5 mm and is focused on the damages caused by various projectiles to the game.
The formation of hematoma cannot be avoided entirely, there are examples of harts shot at different distances from one another, at different time spam, with the same gun and type of projectile, approximately in the same part of the body and to which the damages have been very different.

The stopping power of a caliber represents the capacity to “shoot” a wounded animal, even if temporary. Is not the same thing as killing game. The explanation is the following: if 2 calibers have the same trajectory in the animal, one with a great stopping power will kill down the animal, and the weaker one will let it run under the effect of the adrenalin. In both cases, the animal dies from a good hit, but in case of a great stopping effect, the animal stays down and doesn’t have to be chased. The more important becomes the stopping power, the more the animal has teeth, claws and desire of revenge. There is no need to discuss about the power of stopping by a blow in the head, but about the blows in the chest, or even the imperfect blows.

In our country, using calling devices for hairy raptors hunting, doesn't have so many supporters, fact that made me write this article, trying to emphasize some essential aspects, of which we should take account off when we go raptors hunting with calling devices, hoping that in future due to the beauty and sporty aspects it implies, this side of hunting will expand in Romania also.

Aspects concerning the field for hunting, the atmospheric conditions where we practice hunting, choosing and planning the place where we are going to hunt, the prey-predator relation, as well as the competition between predators, I will draw a general outline, from my own experiences, or practices taught to me by another experienced hunter, from America.

“Why is this study necessary?” Because only if you hold a job position, even a small one, it makes others take account of what you are saying. As a simple tourist I tried for years to initiate a lot of changes in Bucegi. Of course, I didn’t have any success because my demerches weren’t taken into account by any authority in the field. I was only a simple tourist, maybe an idiot one! The authorities haven’t paid any attention to the projects I’ve sent and haven’t received any answers, considering that maybe I’ll give up. Those projects, ideas which I have made public to many people involved in the local tourism, were found to be excellent. For the moment I don’t know whether those authorities, not those from tourism, have applied them, for sure my ideas have represented an offense to their ego. Is not as if, a 26 years old man would teach them how to do their work!
